Thomas D. Jones was born in northern New Jersey and now resides in Providence, Rhode Island. He has a BA in English from Seton Hall University and an MA in Publishing Studies from New York University. After twelve years in the New York publishing field, he changed careers and embarked on teaching.
Jones founded and ran Wings, a New Jersey literary magazine which evolved into an on-line journal. He was active in many of the poetry reading series in Northern New Jersey. His first book of poems, Genealogy X, was published by The Poet's Press in 2000.
Recent publications include poems in the Winter/Spring 2009 Language and Culture (online), Raintiger (raintiger.com), the anthology Appleseeds (2008), The Surface, Scrivener's Pen and Write-Away.
Voices from the Void, Jones' second book, was just published by The Poet's Press in early 2009.
